The Public Toilet Refurbishment Project that we have been working on at a park in Norwich is now complete and it’s great to see how it’s come together.
When we last updated, our surfacing colleagues had laid tarmac around the toilet block, as well as the area in front of the stone arch park gate. As soon as this was complete, we were able to erect the scaffolding to enable us to lay a new roof covering across the entire block.
Internally we carried out plumbing works, including installing new sanitaryware, and electrical works, which involved installing new ventilation, lights, hand dryers and a panic alarm. We also laid new safety vinyl throughout in a dark blue “newt” colour. Meanwhile, we replaced doors and added security grills, and we painted both inside and externally. Once we had finished and vacated the worksite, neighbours worked alongside artists to help design and paint the wall murals.
It’s been a really rewarding project to work on and great to have given these facilities a new lease of life.
