For this project we were appointed to refurbish an industrial unit on the outskirts of Norwich. But, unlike several other warehouse unit refurbishment projects that we’ve undertaken of late, this one also involved carrying out roof treatment works.
It had been identified that the roof was showing signs of lifespan related wear and cut edge corrosion. Therefore, in order to extend the life of the roof going forward we used the Seamsil Cut Edge Corrosion System, a silicone based treatment, which covered the damaged area and will prevent water penetrating the roof further.
When our team had completed these works, we also carried out other repairs and refurbishment works externally. These included replacing roof lights and the cladding on the exterior of the building, reconstructing a damaged wall, resurfacing and curb repair works, as well as replacing paving slabs and a manhole cover.
Inside the building, our team completely stripped out the warehouse taking it back to its original shell. Part of these works included taking out a mezzanine floor, as well as some partitions in the office areas. We then block filled a wall between the ground floor office and warehouse. We fitted a new kitchen area, decorated throughout and laid new flooring – including a new resin floor in the warehouse.
