This project saw us refurbish a former car garage. The garage was located in an industrial unit, which was looking pretty dirty and tired. We were appointed to give it a new lease of life.
Once the project was underway, our team swiftly started on the strip out works. The objective was basically to remove all reminders of its former life as a garage. The industrial unit housed a trade counter, mezzanine floor area, plus a 10m high ariel and mast on the roof. We removed all these elements to take it back to its original shell
When the strip out works were finished, we moved onto the refurbishment. A major part of the project was to fit an entire new roof, in order to improve the lifespan of the building going forward. We also cladded the front face of the building, plus fitted new windows and doors.
Inside, we painted throughout, including the warehouse and office areas. We fitted new suspended ceilings and flooring, while our electrical and mechanical colleagues fitted new electrics and sanitary ware respectively. In the warehouse there was a large pit in the ground which had been used for access underneath vehicles. This was no longer needed, so our team filled it to give a useable warehouse floor going forward.
This project saw us transform the industrial unit from a dark and dirty garage, to a clean and smart warehouse ready for a new life with new tenants.
