The team are currently working on a warehouse refurbishment project located on Roundtree Way in Norwich. We were appointed by a local surveyor and the work involves us preparing the warehouse unit ready for future letting. We have previously completed refurbishment projects on several other warehouse units in the area, so it helps that the work involved is relatively familiar to us.
As with the neighbouring units, we started this project with the strip out works. This mainly involved us removing the large mezzanine floor, which had been put in by previous tenants. In addition, we isolated all the services and removed some internal blockwork on the ground floor.
As soon as we had finished the strip out works, our electrical colleagues commenced the refurbishment works by replacing the lighting throughout the whole of the building. While this was taking place, we started to paint the exterior brickwork and brought along the cherry picker, so that we could install new cladding to the front and rear gable end faces of the building.
We are currently back inside, decorating using the industrial paint sprayer in the warehouse and remaining upstairs office. This will continue through to Christmas. Then, in the New Year, we will continue with the external works.
