Our team is experienced when it comes to working on industrial warehouse refurbishment projects. In the last few months alone we have completed several of these style projects.
So, with one of our latest projects, another warehouse refurbishment on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Norwich, it really helped to be able to hit the ground running. Project timelines had become squeezed and a particularly quick turnaround was needed.
The unit in question was a standalone unit, previously used for digital printing. It needed a complete refurbishment ready for new tenants.
Once our team had stripped everything out from the warehouse and office areas, our first area of focus was the roof. It was suffering from signs of corrosion, so our roofing colleagues applied Sharman’s Delcote treatment to extend its life going forward. While we were working outside, we also replaced roof lights and the cladding to the left-hand side of the building and applied Sikkens Steelseal treatment to the front cladding.
Internally, the electrics needed a complete overhaul. Our electrical colleagues swiftly set about installing a new distribution board and completely rewiring both the warehouse and office areas. They also fitted a new fire alarm, new lights throughout and new heaters.
New suspended ceilings were required in the office areas, where we decorated throughout, installed a set of double doors and laid a mix of blue carpet tiles and grey safety vinyl. We also applied a mid grey floor coating to the warehouse floor, completely transforming the area.
A new roller shutter door and external fencing completed the refurbishment.
