Our latest project to get underway is a large office refurbishment project in Gorleston.
Last year we were approached by our client, a global company specialising in offshore marine services, after they acquired an additional warehouse unit for their Great Yarmouth site. They asked us to help them with their expansion plans by refurbishing the first-floor office space, ready for some of their team to move into from their existing, nearby office.
The first-floor area that we were appointed to work on consists of a series of adjoining rooms – a combination of labs, offices and a kitchen. We will be refitting each of these rooms with new electrics, air conditioning, flooring, ceilings and doors, whilst decorating throughout.
The project commenced just before Christmas when we gained access to the site. Our team arrived on site and started the strip out works. This involved removing the original suspended ceilings, support grid and insulation above, taking out light fittings and office doors, and removing the floor coverings.
Following a break for Christmas, we have now moved onto the refurbishment works. Our painters have started at pace painting each of the rooms in turn, while our carpenters are busy hanging new timber fire doors. We have also erected the metal work for the stud walls in the lab. We will look forward to seeing the project progress as the electrics, air conditioning, ceilings and floors all go in over the coming days.
