Last week we headed to Fakenham where the team installed a new shop front at a retail unit on the Market Place. The unit had recently been rebuilt and we were appointed to finish the refurbishment before it is let to new tenants.
Our work involved installing two heavily insulated, solar-reflecting glass windows, plus a glass panelled timber shop door. With each glass window purpose manufactured and weighing 200kg, meticulous manoeuvring was required to ensure that we installed them carefully and safely.
Before any of this could happen, our team stripped out the existing boarded-up front closure. We then cut back and made good the window reveals ready for the new frontage. We finished our work by fitting new window boards and skirting internally. Outside we built and painted the front canopy and skirt detail, before handing the shop building back to the surveyor for sign off.
